As a Operations Analyst you are responsible for managing the day-to day-activities of OEM partners. Job Summary:
As a Traffic Analyst you are responsible for managing the day-to day-activities of third party logistics providers. You will ensure low cost transportation through analysis and research of transportation methods, auditing carrier costs and reviewing performance. This role is focused on production and revenue. To be successful in this role, you must be a motivated self-starter and self-learner; possess strong analytic skills; and be someone who embraces the challenges of working in a growing, dynamic, high technology environment.
Essential Functions:
- Possess an in-depth understanding of domestic truck and air logistics networks for high-value goods.
- Analyze traffic lanes to identify patterns in freight movements (costs, service levels, special requests)
- Manage day-to-day carrier and warehouse performance levels ? on-time shipping execution, cycle count accuracy, clean order percentage.
- Small project management for 3PL process improvement initiatives.
- Interpret laws, rules and regulations regarding shipping and prepare applications for import/export control certifications and licenses.
- Maintain logs and compile information on routes, rates and services on various vendors.
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong data analysis and Excel skills.
- Ability to respond to changing priorities, work well with others, and multitask.
Responsibility and Interaction:
Responsibility:
- The tasks this individual is responsible for are often non-routine and unstructured, requiring creative solutions.
- This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems.
Interaction:
- This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, and the technical team on assigned projects. There may be communication with employees in other functions as required.
- Limited management direction is provided to employee on new projects or assignments as well as review of activities and priorities.
- The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert on team projects.
- To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through coaching and influencing others.
Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience is required; 6 to 8 years of experience is preferred.
- A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree is required, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
